After documenting Nerlin & Andy’s November wedding, I am convinced that there are friends, family, even strangers that are true angels to our hearts. Nerlin’s wedding was blessed with many angels that helped make it an unforgettable day and we were blessed to witness & capture all the love-filled, sweet moments! It wasn’t a surprise to see how much Nerlin & Andy are loved. They are such a caring couple & we truly have become so fond of them. So much so, that I felt I was documenting my sister’s wedding-tears and all!

This gorgeous couple tied the knot at the Seminole Lake Country Club in St. Pete and their special day could not have been more beautiful! Blue skies and great weather made for some pretty rockin’ light! A sun-kissed outdoor ceremony followed by a lovely reception at Treasure Island Yacht Club to celebrate, that included a few awesome surprises for the bride! One of those surprises was a live performance by a Puerto Rican band, Los Pleneros (yes, I have to admit, we were having a hard time trying to juggle camera gear while shaking it up on the dance floor!)

This wedding was completely their style, where the bride’s elegant & classic taste merged in perfect harmony with the couple’s latin roots and modern take on traditions! A few of our favorite details included the ceremony being performed in English/Spanish so that their all their guests could understand the beautiful words. For their unity ceremony, the couple chose to plant seeds along with the bride’s mother to symbolize their unity and watch the plant bloom as their love, year after year. During the reception, I especially loved how the bride had one of her engagement images created as an display board that had the table numbers and guests names listed. The couple also decided to have a gorgeous canvas from their engagement session displayed at the reception. Andy had proposed to Nerlin at a chinese restaurant and her ring was in the fortune cookie.. So Nerlin creatively included this detail in her wedding, having fortune cookies created in brown and pink to hold place cards at each table that had the guests name and the different colors let the waiters know which guest would be having which dinner selection.

I will never forget Nerlin’s expression when we surprised with a slideshow of the couple’s first images together as a couple playing to one of their favorite songs during the reception. We also incorporated some bubble signs so that the guests could leave some sweet sentiments and surprise the couple when they received their images. Little did we know that the groomsmen would get creative with the idea! See for yourself! (last image) Nerlin & Andy never saw what was written on them…until now! There were so many wonderful details and we were so thankful to witness a couple that shared their special day in such a unique way.

Enjoy some our favorites from their special day!  You can find their wedding gallery with more images on the couple’s website!

Thanks to everyone that made this day so special! (list pending update)
