Although we hadn’t had the opportunity to meet in person, Bekah and I had stayed connected online since December 2009 and it felt like we had been long-time friends. So you can imagine how honored and excited I was to read Bekah’s message in November 2012 letting me know that she had become engaged, and felt that our photography spoke to her and her style!
Bekah has a passion for fitness (she owns Fit For Fashion), anything sewing related and adores quotes (as you can see at Bekah Darling). She inspires me with her dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle, and I can’t help feeling like she’s cheering me on when I see her candid and motivational posts in my news feed.
As a couple, Danny and Bekah have a zest for life and the outdoors- Danny proposed to Bekah covered in mud at a mud run! I wasn’t there at that moment, but I can assure you based on their personalities that it was as sweet, fun, and full of contagious energy as their wedding day. Bekah describes her other half as a “typical Fraternity boy who loves the water and anything country.” Their story started during a fraternity hayride at Florida State University and just a few months later, they were inseparable.
The overall vision of Bekah and Danny’s wedding in Danny’s words is “a traditional wedding with our social butterfly fun-loving vibe”. I couldn’t have described it better myself.
Bekah incorporated her sewing and design background throughout many delicate details, including the lovely monogrammed linen napkins. I loved her guest sign-in book, which featured fabric squares to later be made into a quilt. She made all the food station/special signs, table numbers and more. I love how she fused the classic, elegant look with a modern twist. Her wedding color theme- black, champagne, and blush has become one of my favorites. Bekah loves the whimsical look, hence the blush and champagne colors; but because of the venue and their traditional side, they decided to add in the black. Bekah’s bridesmaids wore adorable black dresses in all different styles! Bekah and Danny’s wedding was brimming with details we loved- Khaled was obsessed with Danny and the groomsmens’ superhero cufflinks.
Their reception was outdoors, with a romantic backdrop: the sun setting over a calm, sparkling ocean. When night fell, the party started- and I have to admit, the urge to join in on the dance floor was at its strongest, probably due to the fact that Bekah and Danny’s guests were so much fun!
