Making us laugh until our stomachs hurt- that’s pretty much the definition of Jasmin and Hameed. After hearing that yes, they also love Chipotle just as much as we do, and that Jasmin is as obsessed (if not more) with Pinterest as I am, I could tell we were a match made in heaven. As if to further prove this point, Jasmin’s first email contained one of the most thrilling, warm-fuzzy inducing sentences I’ve ever read: ”…what are the chances that I’d find something I love on Pinterest, happen to go to their website to see more design pics, love the images and find that you’re located in Tampa? It must be meant to be!”
Yes, Jasmin, we totally agree. :)
I’ve unmercifully teased Hameed with being our “groom of the year”, but after hearing how planned, detailed, and romantic his proposal was, I’m sure you’ll agree how deserving he is of the title!
Hameed had Jasmin adventuring through all sorts of different spots throughout Lakeland, including Britts Cafe (a little breakfast spot they frequent), a dance studio where Hameed setup a private lesson for them (swoon!), the fountain, and Hollis Gardens- the final spot where he proposed! Of course, no other place in the world would be better suited for their engagement session! Let me just say that I am completely obsessed with Jasmin’s gorgeous sari and their adorable custom designed Toms shoes. We had so much fun hanging out with these lovebirds, but I have to say that my favorite part of the session had to be when, in a spontaneous turn of events, they decided to cool off from the hot Florida summer sun for a few seconds…in the fountain!
Their fun, romantic shoot left us anxious for their wedding next year, but for now, enjoy a few of our favorites from their session.
Their love story is the epitome of serendipity; and begins in December 2007 with a soccer scarf on a chair at a bar in midtown Manhattan.
As Will described in our questionnaire, he “was instantly smitten by Andrea’s confidence, sharp wit and smile. Ignoring conventional wisdom, he asked Andrea out that same night, in an e-mail sent at 2:40 a.m. After the holidays, they met up at the Museum of the City of New York and got along well … but the timing wasn’t right. They quickly fell out of touch.
Six months later, they randomly encountered each other among the 78,680 other people filling the New Meadowlands Stadium for a friendly match between the USA and Argentina. Will bought Andrea a beer and chatted with her for 15 minutes before rejoining his friends in the upper deck… but the timing wasn’t right.
Two years and one month after that, on July 10, 2010, they randomly encountered each other among 16,239 at Red Bull Arena, the place Will had recommended (way back in 2007) that Andrea go when the stadium was completed.
Will had just gotten back from 24 days in South Africa, promoting MLS to media covering the World Cup. This time, the timing was just right…”
We had the honor of spending some time with Andrea and Will while they visited Florida last month. They endured summer’s grueling heat and humidity- still managing to look stunning and have fun in front of our camera. Collective Creations did a fabulous job on Andrea’s hair and makeup. Khaled and I can’t wait to document their upcoming wedding day at the stylish Postcard Inn.
Here’s a few of our many favorites from their Ybor city session:
That one time our groom-to-be convinces a man on the 2nd floor of a building on 7th avenue to let us come upstairs and use his private balcony for some romantic portraits!
There is nothing more flattering than shooting a fellow photographer’s wedding- especially if that photographer has been a Facebook friend since you opened your business. So you can imagine my excitement when Chris messaged me that he loved our work and was interested in having us document their special day!
We connected with Chris and his fiancee, Vanessa, over our favorite sushi and it was so unique meeting a librarian for the first time. Let me just say that after meeting Vanessa, all those stereotypes of a woman with her hair in a bun, spectacles on a chain, and worried expression will melt away. Chris and Vanessa are a laid-back couple and we had a good time getting to know them a bit more.
Bok Towers is definitely one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever shot at, so combined with gorgeous weather, our shoot felt more like a day at the park with friends than anything else.
Khaled and I can’t wait to capture the unforgettable moments at Chris and Vanessa’s wedding in just nine days! Here are a few of our favorite images from their sweet session:
From the first few seconds of meeting Morgan and John, I knew they were a fun couple. What I didn’t know, was that their family was just as fun. A couple of weeks ago, we met for Morgan and John’s engagement session and had a wonderful time getting to know them. Thoughtfully, Morgan’s parents and sister came along to help take care of Gus (you’ll soon see in the images below, how the little guy tried to steal Morgan and John’s spotlight).
We are honored to be documenting Morgan and John’s upcoming December wedding. With Morgan’s attention to detail, the couple’s sweet personalities, and the overflowing love they share, I’m sure it will be an unforgettable event!
Thank you Morgan and John, for sharing your afternoon and lovely family with us.

In a few short weeks, Avani and Ripul will be celebrating one of the most important days of their lives. To say that we’re excited for their upcoming wedding this April is definitely an understatement. Avani has painstakingly selected an amazing team of vendors and together they’ll be bringing this couple’s unique vision to fruition. We’re anxious to document every last detail and unforgettable emotion!
Recently, we had the opportunity to spend some time and get to know a little more about this sweet couple for their engagement session. Being that Avani is an interior designer and Ripul is a neurosurgeon we knew that MOSI (with it’s amazing architecture and areas dedicated to the brain/science) would be a perfect place to start their session.
A huge thank you to Jeannette and staff at MOSI for allowing us exclusive access to the breathtaking dome area and creating a wonderful experience for Avani and Ripul-they had a wonderful time!
We had lots of fun and many laughs with Avani and Ripul, even when Avani’s car keys ‘somehow’ got locked in their trunk. ;) It was an adventurous time to say the least and we hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from that day.
