One of the many blessings of being a family photographer is that you get to see the wonderful changes that happen over time to the sweet families you document. I was stunned to see how much Madi and Bree had grown since their last session with us! They have grown to be such beautiful young ladies, and if that wasn’t enough- super talented as well. We had such a wonderful time creating some portraits at their new home and then headed out to a nearby park. Once there, these girls dazzled us with their talents and their unbelievably charismatic personalities- see the results below!
We finished the evening at one of our favorite places, California Pizza Kitchen, and to say that there were lots of laughs is an understatement! Besides showing Cynthia’s family how to “bump” we realized our families have so much in common. We’re thankful that Cynthia and Bryan trust our vision when documenting their family, but even more grateful for the beautiful friendship we share.
P.S. A little birdie told me that Cynthia and Bryan are celebrating their wedding anniversary today! Be sure to leave them some love in the comments below!

When I first started my journey in photography, I wondered how every session or wedding could be a photographer’s favorite. Surely, there’s only one that’s the photographer’s favorite, I thought. But to my surprise, I soon discovered that the unique elements and personalities in every photography experience are what make each and every one my favorite.
Emily found our work through Pinterest and after chatting on the phone a few times about her vision and sweet family, we couldn’t wait to meet them! As unpredictable as Florida weather can be, it was a cold, rainy and overcast day but that didn’t inhibit Emily, her husband Jeremy, and their cute little ones from having some fun at the beach! Right before sunset, the sun decided to break through for a few seconds and we were able to capture the last image in this post. It was magical.
We had such a wonderful time with the Chrysler family and I hope they include frequent visits back to Florida on their agenda.
Emily is such a doll, and we thank Collective Creations for doing a great job highlighting her beauty. Something for the guys, definitely check out Jeremy’s Kickstarter project: Mr. Davis: The World’s Best Undershirt. You can thank me later!
Enjoy some of our favorite images from their day!

Warning: Cuteness Overload.
As you can see in the images below, Gavin doesn’t need much introduction, but who you don’t see below is his beautiful mommy, Shannon. No worries, though, you’ll meet her in a future blog feature. :)
I can describe Shannon as a kindred spirit. From the brief moment we chatted on the phone years ago to our email communication and getting to finally meet in person, I felt like she was family.
Gavin, much like Shannon, has the sweetest personality and kindness. We had the pleasure of spending some time with this little cutie, capturing some of the cutest expressions I’ve ever seen. Not only was Gavin a natural in front of the camera, but this adorable three yr old behaved better than my own kiddos and they’re thirteen and ten! I couldn’t stop laughing when he stopped the shoot to follow the adventures of Mr. Lizard and try to feed some squirrels.
We had such a fun time with Gavin and thank his mommy, Shannon, for trusting us with capturing such sweet moments! Enjoy!

When a fellow photographer posted on one of my favorite Facebook groups that they had a father-to-be looking for a creative maternity photographer, I had a hunch that I’d love Nikkos and Amy. We met for their sunrise session in downtown Tampa and as nasty storms threatened (thanks to hurricane Isaac), we prayed the weather would behave.
I’ve previously blogged my approach to Florida’s rainy season (that seems to last 350 days a year) and I must share that we couldn’t have rocked out these beautiful portraits if it wasn’t for Nikkos and Amy’s full trust and desire to make the best of what the weather was offering. Amy is the tiniest mommy-to-be that I have met and I’ve never seen a woman handle her baby bump with such ease!
We had an incredible time getting to know Nikkos and Amy and look forward to documenting many more sweet memories with them and their new addition to the family.
Here’s a selection of our favorites from their sweet session:

Supportive words of encouragement and sweet compliments on our work come to mind when I think of how I met Jennifer. You see, Jennifer has been a loyal fan of our Facebook page since early 2010. She’s seen us grow as photographers, as a business, and has been an awesome supporter! It was such an honor when she told us years ago we’d be her ‘forever photographers’! :)
When the fates aligned and she booked her family session a few months ago, there was an extra pinch of excitement knowing we’d finally be able to meet one of our first fans in-the-flesh! Meeting and photographing Jennifer and her beautiful family was such a treat. Her two precious angels, Carlos and Sophia, are the most lovable little duo we’ve set our eyes on!
Jennifer’s family emits such a contagious love and they are so adorably happy together that we could have photographed their sweet moments together for days. These images captured are sure to make your heart smile.
Thank you Jennifer for sharing your family and time with us. It was an unforgettable adventure! We enjoyed creating these pretty memories with you and we are blessed with your wonderful friendship.
