In four days, it will be exactly a year since we first met with Nicole and Keily at our favorite Panera. I remember feeling like I had known them for years within the first few minutes. Over the last twelve months, we’ve been blessed with getting to know this beautiful couple and becoming great friends. Nicole and Keily’s engagement session gave us a preview of their love story and we couldn’t wait to document their wedding day.

As Nicole painstakingly planned every detail of her wedding, Khaled and I couldn’t wait to see it all come together. It’s impossible to choose a favorite detail or moment from their wedding day but Nicole’s stunning wedding gown, unique feathered-fascinator and bold purple-feathered shoes had this girl wishing she could get married all over again!

Nicole got ready for her special day in her bridal suite at the Don Vicente. Built in 1895, the majestic historic inn is a photographer’s dream. With Persian rugs, ornate furniture, and lacy, elaborate cast iron balconies- Nicole and Keily’s first look seems as if it’s a scene from an old romantic Spanish film.

The Romanesque architecture and seventy stunning stained glass windows (made in the late 1800s by Franz Mayer Co. of Munich, Germany) surrounding them during their wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart were breathtaking. Surprisingly, opened in 1905, most of the church’s interior design is just as it was a century ago.

As a daughter of Cuban immigrants, Nicole and Keily’s wedding helped me get to know more about my heritage and appreciate the beauty within my own city. Their reception took place at the historic site, the Circulo Cubano de Tampa (The Cuban Club). The building was once a unifying force in the Cuban community and it was a unique experience to see it come to life with music, dancing, and the celebration of love.

Nicole and I secretly planned a boudoir session, and surprised Keily on their wedding day with the most exquisite and sexy album I’ve ever created. You’ll see his reaction in the images below, but Keily also had a surprise for his bride. We were privy to his plans- as the clock struck midnight and loved ones danced the night away, Keily pulled Nicole to the side and asked her nonchalantly, “What time is it?” It took her a few seconds to realize she was looking at the gorgeous Michael Kors watch she had been dreaming about!

Nicole and Keily, thank you for trusting us to document one of your most important days of your lives, we love you both and look forward to seeing your family grow.
