Carolina and Stephen make me want to pack my bags and move to L.A. Spend a few minutes with them, and you’ll feel like you’ve been friends for life! Carolina was referred to us by one of our earlier couples, Frances and Felipe. We’re always humbled when our past clients spread the word about their experience with us and we get to document priceless moments for their friends and family, too.
I was thrilled that I had a chance to visit L.A. last year for a conference, and had the opportunity to spend an afternoon getting to know Carolina and Stephen before their wedding day. They treated me to a delicious Peruvian lunch spot, The Chicken Shack, and I’m counting down the days until the next time I can enjoy their company and such yummy food!
Carolina and Stephen’s wedding day was a fun celebration of all the special qualities that make this sweet couple so loved. Friends flew in from different parts of the country and family showered them with love in a casual setting, under the Florida sunshine. Market lights, colorful paper lanterns, and white folding chairs brought the summery outdoors vibe inside the Heron Bay Marriott. JM Event Productions did an outstanding job with the design. The wild flowers, green foliage, eclectic centerpieces, adorable robot cake topper, beautiful clementine tree escort card table, and all the other details of the day reflected this fun couple’s style.
Carolina and Stephen said their I-do’s in an intimate ceremony under the huppah, which was adorned with a tallis Carolina’s parents brought from Israel last summer. Led by the bride’s uncle, James, who was also the best man in her parents wedding, it was a beautiful gathering and seeing the groom get emotional made me tear up behind the camera.
I was obsessed with Carolina’s vibrant bouquet, which included my favorite plant, succulents. It was also adorned with a lovely sentiment- a photograph of Carolina’s maternal grandfather, who passed away 3 years ago.
Being an art director, Carolina had more dreams about her invitations than her dress or ring. Sweet Water Letterpress created her paper goodies. From her Save the Date to the tiny details on her envelopes, each piece set the tone for her wedding style and was a work of art.
Carolina and Stephen continued the celebration with a unforgettable wedding reception. Complete with great music, non-stop dancing, entertainment for the kiddos, an ice cream sundae bar and an after-party pizza delivery (even before the Oscars and Ellen made it cool)! You can see how they conquered the wedding celebration with the image at the end of this blog post. (Per Stephen’s only request, an Avenger final scene style).
